THE SYDNEY Swans have delisted untried defender Harry Marsh, but hope to redraft the West Australian as a rookie.
The 21-year-old, who was recruited with pick 44 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft, had an impressive 2015 campaign in the NEAFL (after a move from the midfield to defence) and was named in the League's 'team of the year'.
Luckless rookie Lloyd Perris has also been delisted after undergoing his third knee reconstruction in two years in August.
First-year rookie Sean McLaren has also been told his services are no longer required.
The Swans will enter next month’s draft with picks 33, 36, 37, 44, 54, 69, 72, 90 and 108 – with one of those picks to be used to upgrade rookie ruckman Sam Naismith onto the senior list.
Meanwhile, the Swans have restructured their coaching panel.
John Blakey has been promoted to coaching director/head of development (a new position at the club) while in-coming assistant Brett Kirk will take over as the forwards coach.
Henry Playfair has moved from the forwards to defensive coach. Stuart Dew will continue in the senior assistant position as will Josh Francou as stoppage coach.
The recently retired Rhyce Shaw will coach the Swans NEAFL team with the support of development coach Nick Davis.
And Jared Crouch will become the coaching director of the Swans' academy.
There's a good chance Harry Marsh will be redrafted by the Swans. Picture: AFL Media
