SYDNEY will decide by Wednesday whether it wants to pursue out-of-contract Collingwood swingman Darcy Moore.

Moore played just seven games this season after multiple hamstring injuries.

Swans football manager Tom Harley told NAB AFL Trade Radio on Tuesday his club hadn't decided whether it would make a serious attempt to land the 22-year-old.

"We haven't progressed anything too far. We'll make a decision probably today or tomorrow as to whether we want to progress that, but at this stage, there's nothing to report on that front," Harley said.

Speedster Gary Rohan seems certain to leave for Geelong.

"We're confident that we can make that work. That's the human side of football, isn't it," Harley said.

"Gary and his wife Amie have had some clear challenges and if we can provide an opportunity for them to move back closer to family support so then Gary can play some good footy, then we'll look to do that."

His wife gave birth to twins in April but one of his daughters, Willow Nevaeh, tragically passed away hours later.

"Clearly Gary's personal circumstances are well told and well known. I think you take that into consideration," Harley said.

"You also take into consideration what's best for your footy club and what Geelong might be able to offer up in return."

Rohan, 27, is contracted until the end of 2020.

Harley confirmed Sydney has met with Melbourne tough nut Aaron vandenBerg, who is yet to sign a new deal.

"Aaron's a player of interest and there's a number of players of interest out there as well," Harley said.
