READY-MADE Western Bulldogs draftee Ben Cavarra has suffered an injury setback that will see him miss the start of the season.

Cavarra, 23, was taken as a mature-age product in last year's NAB AFL Draft but has succumbed to a quad complaint that will sideline him for the next three weeks.

It comes as fellow draftee Laitham Vandermeer sustained a hamstring injury that will rule him out of contention for the first six weeks of 2019.

FULL FIXTURE Every round, every game

Midfielder Bailey Dale continues to overcome a lingering ankle complaint, with a view to having him ready inside the first month of the season.

The Dogs have listed Tom Boyd's back injury as a six- to eight-week proposition, while Jason Johannisen is eyeing a round 2-3 return from an ankle syndesmosis.
