PORT Adelaide ruckman Scott Lycett is in doubt for the Power's clash with Hawthorn in Launceston on Saturday, opening the door for rookie-listed big man Peter Ladhams to make his senior debut.

Lycett pulled up sore with a tight adductor muscle after the Power's 38-point win against Gold Coast at Adelaide on Sunday.

The six-day turnaround before taking on the Hawks – along with next week's trip to China to face St Kilda in Shanghai in round 11 – could see the Power take a cautious approach with Lycett.

Ladhams, 21, has been in impressive form for Port Adelaide's SANFL team in his third year on the club's rookie list.

The 203cm ruckman had a complete game in last weekend's loss to Adelaide, racking up 24 disposals, 34 hitouts, nine clearances, seven inside-50s and a goal.

Star forward Robbie Gray (broken hand) and co-captain Tom Jonas (calf) will be assessed this week as they aim to make their returns.

Defender Ryan Burton is a "sneaky chance" to face his former club with coach Ken Hinkley telling SEN SA on Tuesday morning that Burton has made a quicker than expected recovery from a hamstring injury.
