EXPERIENCED Brisbane football boss David Noble has confirmed he has had no contact from Adelaide in relation to its vacant coaching job.

Noble spent more than a decade in Adelaide as an assistant coach, list manager and head of football and has recently been linked to a return to the city of churches to take over the top job from the outgoing Don Pyke.

But Noble says he is more than happy in Brisbane and hasn't even spoken to anyone at the Crows in regard to a possible return to the club.

"I haven’t taken a call from anyone at the Crows," Noble said on Telstra AFL Trade Radio on Monday.

"I am comfortable with the direction I have taken and I think my skillset is a bit more broader (than coaching)."

Noble did, however, confirm the Lions will make a three-year offer to unrestricted Adelaide free agent Cameron Ellis-Yolmen in an attempt to gain the services of the big-bodied midfielder.

Ellis-Yolmen has played just 39 games at the Crows over eight seasons, but Noble believes the 26-year-old can help strengthen the Lions' midfield.

"We want to continue to add another big body so we will put some paperwork in for Cam (when the free agency period commences) on Friday," Noble confirmed.

"We felt over the journey (2019 season) they (the Lions' midfield) got worn down physically, (so we want) to have another person in there that can buffer those loads.

"He will bring clean clearances, he has got some power to get through the stoppages and we like that.

"He had a couple of roles this year that we liked and he has got more upside to develop in the next couple of years."

While Noble was happy to talk about the impending arrival of Ellis-Yolmen, he was less keen to entertain discussions about the possible arrival of any other opposition players.

Noble did state the club is on the lookout for someone that can break the lines across half-back and said the future of former Rising Star winner Lewis Taylor won't be decided until after the Telstra AFL Trade Period is complete.

"We have said to a few (players) we need to get through the trade period to assess (where they stand)…Lewy (Taylor) is one we certainly want to talk to, “ Noble said.

"We have got to continue to strengthen our list with whatever it looks like."
