Tony Armstrong, Bianca Hunt and Darryl White will host Yokayi Footy

THE FOOTY TV landscape welcomes a new show when Yokayi Footy makes its debut on Wednesday night. 

Highlighting the stories of Indigenous footballers and celebrating their contribution to the game will be the focus of the program, which is produced by NITV and the AFL.

The program will be hosted by former Adelaide, Sydney and Collingwood player Tony Armstrong, Brisbane triple-premiership player and Australian Indigenous Team of the Century member Darryl White, and AFLW advocate Bianca Hunt. 

NITV's Gilbert McAdam will also be a part of the program, which will be broadcast from its Melbourne studio but also feature segments from communities around Australia.

Yokayi is a Noongar phrase meaning 'a shout for victory'. 

The inaugural episode will also feature the launch of The Deadliest – an interactive knockout competition in which where fans can vote for the Greatest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander player.
