DANE Swan and Brodie Grundy will miss Friday night's clash against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium after both were late withdrawals from Collingwood's team.
Swan and Grundy were replaced in the Magpies' 22 by midfielder Josh Thomas and defender Paul Seedsman.
Collingwood said via its official Twitter account that Swan had been ruled out with a "sore heel" and Grundy a "tight back".
The Saints made no changes to their selected team.
The 2011 Brownlow medallist and Grundy, the Pies' No. 1 ruckman, will be big losses for Collingwood.
But the Magpies will still start warm favourites against the 16th-placed Saints, who have won just one of their past seven matches.
Seedsman returns for his first senior game of the year after undergoing hip surgery in late January, and will start as Collingwood's substitute.
