THE AFL is committed to bringing theEssendon supplements scandal to a conclusion before the finals.
Deputy chief executive Gillon McLachlan hasconfirmed he expects the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority investigationto be finalised next month.
"We're committed to bringing thisinvestigation to an end with ASADA in August, prior to the finals series.
"Just to close this down, there'll bea number of questions on Essendon. The reality is this, there is an end insight - it's in August."
How the Bombers might argue their case
McLachlan took just two questions on thetopic at a news conference to announce the 2013 International Rules series onWednesday morning.
On Monday, League football operationsmanager Mark Evans confirmed to AFL.com.au that the AFL Commission could potentially strip the Bombers of premiership points and draft picks.
But McLachlan said he didn't want to addany further "running commentary."
"The reality is this, anything wecould say would only raise more questions and potentially jeopardise theinvestigation," he said.
"We're here to get the right outcome,and that is the facts."
