CARLTON will regain speedy midfielder Zac Fisher from a syndesmosis injury for Thursday night's primetime fixture with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium.

Fisher has been absent since suffering the injury in the club's round one loss to Richmond in March, with the game's shutdown period due to the COVID-19 break easing the damage inflicted by the three-month layoff.

His return will bolster an in-form Blues side that makes two changes for the clash, with key forward Harry McKay also recovering from rib soreness to take his place in the team.

Jack Silvagni (fractured ribs) and last week's debutant Sam Philp (omitted) make way for the pair.

St Kilda regains captain Jarryn Geary from a hamstring strain, with the Saints skipper tipped to play a defensive role in order to quell the influence of Blues co-captain Sam Docherty on Thursday night.

Geary replaces Zak Jones in St Kilda's team, with the gun recruit unable to recover from a hamstring injury as a result of the shortened five-day break that was forced upon the two sides due to the match being rearranged earlier this week.

Veteran ruckman Paddy Ryder, a late withdrawal from last week’s victory over Richmond, remains out of St Kilda's team as coach Brett Ratten again opts for a smaller forward line.

Carlton and St Kilda both sit at 2-2 heading into the clash.
