Why has Shannon Byrnes been relegated back to the rookie list & when he was on the senior list why didn't he get at least one senior game after showing so much potential in the Wizard Cup? – Steph

SK: Shannon played really well in the Wizard Cup after he was promoted to the senior list with Will Slade on the long-term injury list. Now that Will is now back playing after his bout of osteitis pubis and as such Shannon had to go back to the rookie list. Had Byrnesy not hurt his hammy in the Wizard Cup semi final he would have played in the early rounds of the season. He’s still playing well in the VFL and I think he’s got a long future with us.

When will David Loats returns will you tend to go forward a lot more or will Loatsy go forward or will you both be swapping in the pocket throughout the match? - Tim Hutchison

SK: I think that we’ll probably alternate a bit. David played really well against Williamstown in the VFL last week and is pushing for a run in the seniors. With Cameron Mooney and Henry Playfair playing well we have some good options now in terms of our big men for the rest of the season.

Do you think that Cam Mooney will play this weekend ? He has done a great in the ruck. l will be going to Adelaide is weekend. – Tanya

SK: Cameron will be fine for the weekend. He’s playing some of the best football of his career and proving what a good player his is. It’s great to see that you’re coming over – we really appreciate all the support we get from fans like yourself. It does make a difference.

Great effort on Saturday everyone, I traveled down from Canberra, and wasn't let down, probably the best all round performance I've seen from a Geelong side since we kicked the record at Carrarra all those years ago. My question is, what is the go with Sando's knee injury? – Matt

SK: Sando hurt his knee a few weeks ago against the Crows. He played through that game and also lined up Melbourne without too many problems. The knee then swelled up and even though he’s not really in too much pain he is a little swollen. It’s the same type of injury as Adam Goodes picked up with the Swans. I was talking to Sando about it yesterday and he thinks he’ll be back for the Bulldogs game in round 11.

Hey Kingy, great to see you back on the field. Just wondering how Paul Chambers is pulling up with his injury and when we may see him playing again? - Mel

SK: I think Sarge is about a week away from coming back in the VFL. He’s working hard and is close to being back on-field.
