With the unprecedented interest and demand for tickets the AFL Reserve will be pre-sold as a reserved seat event for the Ashes Test match. This is not an AFL event however the AFL has been able to negotiate a very good outcome for reserved seat pricing with Cricket Victoria and the MCC.
Due to the anticipated demand no guest passes have been made available in the AFL Reserve.
Tickets are limited to 10 tickets per transaction and each ticket must be purchased with a 2006 AFL Membership barcode.
Once a ticket has been purchased the barcode will be retired. This process is similar to the AFL Grand Final.
- No General Admission will be available and all AFL Members attending either of the first 2 days of the 2006 Boxing Day Test will be required to have a pre-purchased ticket to gain entry.
Only Days 1 & 2 of the Boxing Day Test are available to purchase now, with information on ticketing for the remaining days of the Boxing Day Test and the One-Day International Series to be provided at a later date.
Once confirmed, the information will be published on this page, as well as emailed to AFL Members via our weekly My AFL News Email Newsletter.
These on-sales have been held over so as to not impact on the sales process of Days 1 & 2 of the Test.
Tickets are on-sale now through Ticketmaster outlets, phone 1300 888 081, online via the AFL Membership website or by clicking on the 'Buy Tickets' link to the right of this page.
At 9am Monday July 17th the following tickets were available for purchase:
- Boxing Day (December 26th) - Approximately 800 reserved seats available on level 4 of the AFL Reserve only. All other seating has sold out within the AFL Reserve.
- Day 2 (December 27th) - Approximately 3000 reserved seats available on level 4 of the AFL Reserve only. All other seating has sold out within the AFL Reserve.
The AFL expects demand to be higher than the quantity of tickets available and unfortunately all Members wishing to purchase tickets may not be able to do so.
AFL Members are reminded that AFL Membership is NOT transferable and Members attending the match will be required to produce both their AFL Membership card and Ticketmaster entry ticket. Signature checks will be conducted at the turnstiles and any breach may result in suspension or cancellation of AFL membership.
This event has also been subject to on-selling activity (scalping) and any AFL Reserve tickets identified as being on-sold is a breach of the transferability condition of membership and will result in immediate cancellation of the membership and voiding of the tickets purchased.
