2010 Members Board Election

The 2010 Member Election will be the fourth opportunity for members to elect a Director.

Traditionally the Board has taken the view that it was not appropriate for it to support or canvass support for a candidate.  As Jason Ball however is offering himself for re-election the Board feels very strongly that it indicates to members the importance of retaining Jason on the Sydney Swans Board.

Jason has been a member of the Board for three years and his Board colleagues are unanimously of the view that he has made an outstanding contribution in that time.

As the youngest member he brings a unique perspective to all aspects of the Club’s operations.

Jason brings a special knowledge of how successful clubs operate - having played in two AFL Premiership teams in 1994 and 2005.

The Board recommends the re-election of Jason Ball to your Board of Directors on the basis that he has made an invaluable contribution to the Club’s success in the last three years.

Jason's re-election will provide great stability and avoid the possibility of any disruption to the unique football culture that has been developed in this Club.

We believe Jason will continue to make a significant contribution if re-elected.

For and on behalf of the Board of Directors,

Richard Colless
Chairman
