GREATER Western Sydney has secured promising young defenders Matt Buntine and Aidan Corr, ramping up the pressure on midfielder Adam Treloar to re-sign with the emerging group.

Buntine and Corr have signed until the end of 2017 and 2018 respectively, joining key re-signings Stephen Coniglio, Dylan Shiel, Jeremy Cameron, Devon Smith and Will Hoskin-Elliott.

Treloar, who comes out of contract this year and has been linked to Victorian clubs, is one of the last key re-signings for the Giants, who have had more success than expected in keeping their young group together.

Buntine, who was selected with pick No.5 in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft, was coming out of contract this season and has stepped up in an injury hit backline.

"I’m really happy here in Sydney and the club has been so good to me over the last four years," the 21-year-old told the club's website.

"I've got really good friends up here, I can see us going a long way and I want to be part of the big future we are building.

"With so many of my good friends already re-committing to the Giants, it shows that everyone is buying into the culture and this is where I want to be."

Corr, who was recruited with pick No.14 in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft, said he believed the Giants group was on the path to win a premiership and it was an easy decision to stay.

"That’s why we are all here playing footy at the Giants and I believe we’re building something special," he said.

"I think in a few years we can go all the way."

Coach Leon Cameron and CEO David Matthews both highlighted the culture GWS was building and the success they were having in re-signing key players.

Treloar, however, is yet to sign as he attracts significant offers from his home state.

The 22-year-old ranks No.1 at the club this season for disposals (27.1 a game) and top four for contested possessions (9.9) and clearances (4.2).
