THINK it was all fun and games for Nic Naitanui discovering Reilly O'Brien's bungled tweet calling him "lazy and unfit" last year?

Think again.

Just two days before O'Brien's meeting with Naitanui, the Crow misfired a series of notes intended for his private notes in order to motivate him ahead of the Eagles match-up.

And AFL.com.au has been given a glimpse of the never-before-seen moment from inside both camps for the Making Their Mark series to be released on March 12.

"I can't wait to bash this kid on Saturday, I'm sorry to say that," Naitanui said after watching O'Brien's public apology.

Amazon Prime Video cameras, which followed the Crows and Eagles among six clubs across 2020, also capture Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks' jovial response while informing Crows players including Taylor Walker and Rory Sloane.

Plus, the episode shows the phone call Naitanui receives from Eagles coach Adam Simpson and the text from Carlton star, and O'Brien's former teammate, Eddie Betts who implores Naitanui to 'please don't hurt him too much'.
