Ex-Demon to play his first senior game for his new club on Sunday
WEST COAST has handed ex-Demon Cale Morton his first game with his new club as the Eagles take on Fremantle in their derby in Perth on Sunday.
Ashley Smith and Morton, who played 73 games with Melbourne, replace Beau Waters (knee) and Pat McGinnity (suspended) in the West Coast lineup.
Morton, 23, battled knee problems earlier this year but has been in top form for WAFL club East Perth.
Fremantle recalled Alex Silvagni for injured defender Luke McPharlin (calf).
The Sydney Swans recalled Jesse White in place of injured key forward Sam Reid for Sunday's clash with Greater Western Sydney.
Reid will miss the SCG game with a calf injury.
Coach Kevin Sheedy's winless Giants made six changes.
Phil Davis, Sam Darley, Dom Tyson, Travis Bugg, Shaun Edwards and 19-year-old debutant Jono O'Rourke have been promoted.
The Western Bulldogs made four changes for Sunday's Etihad Stadium game against Essendon.
The 14th-placed Bulldogs have recalled Dylan Addison, Jarrad Grant, Liam Picken and 18-year-old third-gamer Lachie Hunter.
Tall forward Ayce Cordy has been dropped and Jack Macrae has been rested, while Jake Stringer has soreness and Jason Johannisen has a shoulder injury.
Essendon promoted 20-year-old Nick O'Brien for his first game of the season and third career match in place of skipper Jobe Watson, who is likely to miss four matches with a broken collarbone.
