A SECOND strong showing in the NEAFL has been enough for Adam Goodes to earn a recall to the Sydney Swans side set to take on the Western Bulldogs on Saturday at the SCG.

Goodes has been named after playing another strong game in the Swans' reserves, along with Tom Mitchell and Dean Towers.

Boom youngster Isaac Heeney is out with an ankle injury, while Ben McGlynn and Harry Cunningham have been dropped.

Will Minson remains on the outer at the Western Bulldogs with coach Luke Beveridge still finding no room for him in the side.

Fletcher Roberts is the only in for the Dogs, with Jarrad Grant omitted.

Carlton coach Mick Malthouse has run out of patience with Levi Casboult and dropped him, along with last week's debutant Matthew Dick.

Andrew Carrazzo will miss Malthouse's record-breaking game with a leg ailment. The midfielder was treated for a knee issue during last Saturday's win over St Kilda in Wellington.

The Blues have been bolstered by the return of Chris Judd, who missed last week with back tightness, while Kristian Jaksch and Mark Whiley have also been named, ex-Giant Whiley for his first game in the navy blue.

Dane Swan has been named for Collingwood and will play, with Nathan Buckley emphatically declaring on Wednesday the Brownlow medallist wouldn't be picked if there was doubt on his sprained ankle.

Patrick Karnezis has been recalled for his second game for the Magpies while Tim Broomhead will miss with illness.

Richmond will be without Brett Deledio again, but have regained Chris Newman and Troy Chaplin for Saturday's big clash with Geelong at the MCG.

Draftee Corey Ellis will make his AFL debut, while Ben Lennon and Ty Vickery have been called in for their first games for the year.

Nathan Drummond is out with the serious knee injury he suffered last week, joining Nathan Gordon (quadriceps) and Ben Griffiths (calf) as forced omissions.

Matt McDonough and Matt Arnot have been dropped from the team that went down to Melbourne last Friday night.

Geelong has had to replace some height, with Mitch Clark out with a foot concern and Rhys Stanley soreness.

Tom Lonergan is back to bolster the backline while Dawson Simpson and Shane Kersten come in to replace the tall pair.

First-year midfielder Nakia Cockatoo has been omitted.

Jamie Macmillan returns to the North Melbourne side after missing the past three weeks with an Achilles injury and will face Hawthorn on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium.

Trent Dumont has been omitted after making his AFL debut in the green vest last week against Geelong on Sunday.

The Hawks have called up Ryan Schoenmakers, with Brian Lake (knee) to miss up to a month, while Liam Shiels returns from a hamstring injury at the expense of Brendan Whitecross.

West Coast has named Luke Shuey for Saturday night's clash with Greater Western Sydney despite the midfielder being subbed out last week with an ankle injury.

Callum Sinclair, Jamie Bennell and Pat McGinnity have been called up, with Matt Rosa out with a hamstring, Scott Lycett omitted and first-year defender Jackson Nelson rested.

The Giants have made the one change with Will Hoskin-Elliott, who kicked four goals in the NEAFL last week, in for Rhys Palmer, who is out with a six-week shoulder injury.

After losing David Swallow and Nick Malceski to knee injuries, Gold Coast has brought in two debutants, defender Henry Schade and rookie Josh Glenn.

Glenn has been elevated to the senior list for Jaeger O'Meara, who will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his patella tendon earlier this month.

The 21-year-old midfielder comes from Central District in the SANFL and was selected by the Suns with pick No.7 in the 2014 NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

The Brisbane Lions have dropped boom recruit James Aish for the second time this season and recalled Brent Staker for Saturday's QClash at Metricon Stadium.

Former Melbourne co-captain Jack Grimes has been recalled to face Fremantle after collecting 18 disposals in the VFL last weekend, with Neville Jetta (concussion) and Dean Kent (hamstring) to miss.

Jordie McKenzie, Jake Spencer, Aidan Riley and Cameron Pedersen have been named as part of the extended squad for Sunday's match at the MCG.

Meanwhile, the Dockers have named Hayden Ballantyne, despite Ross Lyon being coy earlier in the week about whether the small forward would return straight away from suspension.

Jack Hannath and Hayden Crozier, who had 27 touches in the WAFL last week after being omitted from the seniors, have also been named in the extended squad.

St Kilda remains without its captain with Nick Riewoldt to miss a third week with a calf injury, while Leigh Montagna remains sidelined with a knee problem.

However, Mav Weller has been named to return against Essendon at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, along with Jimmy Webster, Tom Hickey, Blake Acres and potential debutant Daniel McKenzie.

Nathan Wright and Ahmed Saad have been omitted after quiet games against Carlton last Saturday.

Essendon has lost veteran forward Paul Chapman to a groin complaint, but has confirmed first-year forward Kyle Langford will make his debut. Jackson Merrett, Orazio Fantasia and Elliott Kavanagh have also been added to an extended squad.

Adelaide has regained Kyle Cheney and called up Mitch Grigg, Matt Crouch and Charlie Cameron as chances to face Port Adelaide in the Showdown on Sunday.

Kyle Hartigan has been omitted for the big clash at Adelaide Oval.

The Power has named Robbie Gray despite some lingering doubt over the corked calf that caused him to miss last week's win over Hawthorn.

Cam O'Shea and potential debutant Karl Amon have also been named in an expanded squad, which will be trimmed on Friday.
