Football Technology Manager
As a dynamic and progressive AFL Club, we are seeking a skilled Football Technology Manager to assist the football department with its technology requirements. Ideally you will have a background in statistics and/or sports science.
You will also have;
- Excellent knowledge of AFL
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and all Microsoft products
- Sound knowledge of IT and ability to pick up new programs quickly
- Ability with the IT programs- Champion Data-CIA,CIS/Sportscode would be very advantageous
- Ability to work 7 days a week so as to be able to support on match days.
- Ability to work in a high pressure environment
- Dedication and professional work ethic
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Responsibilities;
- Manage Stats team and coaches box and bench with communications and computer equipment in conjunction with IT Manager
- During Match: provide coaches with statistical analysis during the quarters. Print stats for quarter breaks
- Ensure replays of vision work for coaches when requested in the box and during quarter breaks
- Capture broadcast and behind goals vision in stats box
- Troubleshoot any problems that arise during match in conjunction with IT Mgr
- Post-Match: align stats to vision and copy onto coaches laptops
- Print and collate stats and give to coaches immediately
- Provide statistical reports on a Monday morning for all coaches (using spreadsheets and reports from Champion Data)
- Collate reports and statistical information to create opposition booklet
- Provide support for all coaches for their weekly presentations to players
- Film training and save to server
- Type and print Coaches team meeting hand out
- Maintain the vision area for players
- Maintain and set up the theatre for coaches meetings / presentations for pre- training, game reviews and any other meetings
