ADELAIDE and Port Adelaide are reportedly set to reap an extra $3 million combined from their Adelaide Oval games in 2015 under a revised stadium deal.

Both South Australian clubs recorded relatively poor match-day returns last year in the first season of their move to the Adelaide Oval despite recording outstanding crowds.

The AFL has been in talks for the past month with the SANFL, who manages the Adelaide Oval together with the SA Cricket Association, to improve the clubs' slice of game-day revenue at the venue.

News Corp reported on Friday that the parties had finally agreed to a new deal in which the clubs' combined revenue slice will climb by an extra $4 million in each of seasons 2016 and 2017 before the stadium agreement is reviewed again.

According to the report, the new deal centres on: incentives the Power and Crows will receive if they draw more than 30,000 to the Oval; and the two clubs having access to more stadium assets to sell for corporate revenue and more reserved seats to sell at premium rates.

Letters of intent for the clubs, SANFL and Stadium Management Authority have been reportedly prepared by the AFL and were to be signed in Adelaide on Friday morning.

But the parties will still then have to sign new contracts to make the revised agreement legally binding.
