SUMMARY
The fifth instalment of the QClash is shaping as the best. After a first round win over St Kilda and honourable defeat at the hands of the Sydney Swans, the Suns can puff their chests out a little ahead of playing their big brother. Conversely, the pre-season champion Lions have lost a little of their swagger, starting 0-2 after a tense last-start loss against Adelaide. Gold Coast has a midfield, bolstered by the addition of teenager Jaeger O'Meara, that already looks noticeably tougher than last year. With three straight wins at Metricon Stadium, the Suns will be out to make it four and record their first victory over the Lions since the teams' inaugural clash in 2011.

THE SIX POINTS

1. Brisbane defeated Gold Coast twice in 2012, winning by 65 points in round four at the Gabba and by 11 in round 17 at Metricon Stadium.
2. In both contests last season the Lions were comfortable winners in the total possession count; 430-349 and 392-335.  Gary Ablett was impressive in both games though amassing a total of 70 disposals; 33 and 37.
3. Of the four QClashes between the teams, the Lions hold a 3-1 advantage, with two matches decided by less than two goals (one win apiece) and the other two by more than 10 goals.
4. No club in league history has played at Metricon Stadium more than the Lions (formerly Bears); 65 games for 23 wins, 41 losses and one draw.
5. The highest Metricon Stadium attendance is 23,302 for Gold Coast v Collingwood in round 18, 2011.
6. Did you know Lions coach Michael Voss played 289 games for the club, but only three at Metricon Stadium, formally Carrara?
