Cat intent on Eagles

Geelong star Tim Kelly will walk out on the club after 2019 if he is held to his contract for next season, the Herald Sun reports.

Kelly has requested a trade to West Coast so he can return home, but has a year to run on his deal.

While he wants to live in Western Australia, his manager Anthony Van Der Wielen said the Eagles' crosstown rivals were not an option.

"He is not going to Fremantle. I have had players there and I don't think they are an attractive proposition for him," Van Der Wielen said.

"He will go to West Coast and if he doesn't, he will be playing at Geelong, then he will leave the year after."

Dogs hunt Hawk

The Western Bulldogs are looking at unrestricted free agent and Hawthorn left-footer Taylor Duryea, The Age says.

Duryea, 27, has spoken to Sydney, but the Dogs may sign him instead.

He would join fringe Richmond forward Sam Lloyd, who is expected to be traded eventually to the Dogs.

Giant play

Greater Western Sydney is eyeing off Carlton's prized No.1 pick at the NAB AFL Draft, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Young midfielder Will Setterfield has already requested a trade to the Blues and if his teammate Dylan Shiel chooses to join him ahead of Hawthorn, St Kilda and Essendon, a deal could be done to see GWS end up with a fifth No.1 selection on its list.

The four already at the club are Brett Deledio (2004), Tom Scully (2009), Jonathon Patton (2011) and Lachie Whitfield (2012).

Carlton list manager Stephen Silvagni told Macquarie Sports Radio on Monday it was "highly unlikely" the club would trade No.1 but would consider it if the offer was good enough.

Twist in chase for young Pie

Collingwood defender Tom Langdon is reportedly being courted by Sydney.

The 24-year-old, who was one of the Magpies' best in their Grand Final loss to West Coast, is out of contract and has only been offered a one-year deal for 2019.

AFL.com.au's Damian Barrett said the Swans were keen to bolster their defensive stocks after missing out on Langdon's teammate Darcy Moore.

"The offer officially only came through Tuesday of last week – after the Grand Final," Barrett said on Channel Nine's The Trade Table

"We have drawn the linkage between that occurring – and also Darcy Moore re-signing – with the pursuit of Steven May and the likelihood now that May wants to go and will go to the Melbourne footy club.

"Collingwood needed to sure up what they've got, so it has caused issues. Bottom line is he likes Collingwood, loves the people around him too, he does want to stay.

"But there are other clubs having knocked on the door – Fremantle during the course of the season and I believe quite significantly the Sydney Swans quite recently have put a very nice potential offer to him.

"Collingwood’s money is okay, I think it will get close to the Fremantle offer of around $600,000 a year, which I think is fair money for Tom Langdon."
