Walker booted five goals, including three in a dominant first-quarter display, while Tippett chimed in with three.
Fremantle were up by a goal midway through the opening term but the Crows, led by Walker, piled on six unanswered majors to lead by 36 points at the first change.
The two sides went goal for goal in the second term, but Adelaide was never headed and the home side kicked seven goals to the visitors' two in the third quarter to secure the win 22.9 (141) to 10.6 (66).
Both teams rotated seven players off the interchange bench in the hot and humid conditions, with Fremantle skipper Matthew Pavlich and Adelaide defenders Richard Tambling and Graham Johncock among the players to only play a half.
Gutsy midfielder Rory Sloane (three goals) was the best player on the ground across the four quarters, while Michael Doughty, Jason Porplyzia, Ricky Henderson (three goals) and Myke Cook (two goals) also impressed throughout the contest.
Adelaide's first-round draft pick Brodie Smith put more pressure on selectors with another impressive display and small forward Ian Callinan also showed class in patches.
The Crows started slowly but ramped up their forward-half pressure during the first quarter and Freo, who were without star players David Mundy, Stephen Hill and Aaron Sandilands, struggled to clear the ball out of defence.
Adelaide was criticised for failing to capitalise on turnovers last season, but the forwards had no such trouble on Saturday afternoon, with a number of the team's goals coming directly from forced errors in Fremantle's defence.
Tippett, who played higher up the ground than usual, provided a strong contest across half-forward and the Crows midfielders found time and space to deliver the ball cleanly to Walker inside 50.
Adelaide also dominated at the other end of the ground, with young defenders Phil Davis, Luke Thompson (one goal), Daniel Talia and Brodie Martin standing up in the absence of key duo Ben Rutten and Scott Stevens.
The Crows will now take on Carlton at Visy Park next Friday.
