Adult grand final ticket prices in 2006 range from $189 (premium) to $126 (restricted/standing), while concession tickets are from $120.70 (premium) to $82 (restricted/standing).
The admission prices for the first three weeks of the finals - the elimination/qualifying, semi finals and preliminary finals - have increased at below Consumer Price Index (CPI) levels.
AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou said the finals are the competition's "showcase matches" and the AFL is committed to ensuing these matches are "within the reach of all supporters".
"We have held increases for the first three weeks of the finals at the lowest possible levels, following on from the work in recent years where we introduced a family ticket in 2004 for the opening two weeks of the finals and then, last year, when we froze prices with no admission increases for the first six finals of the 2005 season," Demetriou said.
The prices for the opening six finals - the elimination/qualifying and semi finals - last year were frozen at 2004 prices.
Demetriou said the AFL's pricing structure for the finals was a key plank in the AFL's strategic plan, which works towards ensuing prices remain affordable, while maximising attendances and revenue growth.
