Lots of interesting and exciting moves going on at the Club of late. Most of which I find totally positive. Bit confused about the delisting of Mark McGough though. I am of the opinion that he wasn't really given a fair run under Thomo.I would liked to have seen Ross Lyon give him a shot at glory in '07. McGough is a classy player and perhaps he and Thomo just didn't gel, hence the lack of game-time he was allocated. It's unfortunate that the axe had to fall, as now we'll never really know exactly what McGough was capable of.On the flipside to this coin - I am not exactly saddened by Cain Ackland's decision. There is no way he could ever have been a 'True Sainter'. I mean go figure - leaving a Club that has finals written all over it for a defending wooden spooner!I think it would be fair to say that Ackland has never really walked the walk at St Kilda, so his decision to move on is probably a good one for the Club. Michael Gardiner on the other hand, is a bold and very astute choice for us. Given the right atmosphere, he should be exactly what we need to seriously bolster our ruck department.I say that this could well be the recruiting masterstroke of the year. I wish Gardiner all the luck in the world for season '07, but he must fully put his heart into it. It is the St Kilda Football Club he will be representing in '07 and our tradition, pride and flat-out legandary status go back a long, long way, unlike that of his former Club.Robert Harvey and Andrew Thompson, take a bow fellas! Rapt that you are both ready to give it another whirl. You are both total stalwarts and we are extremely lucky to have you in our colours.Frankie called it a day, and that is fair enough. Frankie rocked and I loved watching him play. He was a pearler and will be sorely missed. Good on ya Frankie, you are a classic! So have a good Christmas you mighty mighty Sainters. Word on the street is that Santa is going to deliver the goods, but he's going to be late and won't make it down to Moorabbin 'til September '07!
