North Melbourne-Werribee recruit Caitlin Fletcher has been signed by the GWS Giants as a replacement player for the upcoming 2025 AFLW season.
A train-on player with the Giants across the past two years, Fletcher joined the Kangaroos in the summer and played the opening two games of the rebel VFLW season.
The 21-one year was impressive in those outings, averaging 18.5 disposals and 3.5 tackles in the wins over Carlton and Williamstown, which included polling eight votes in the rebel Coaches MVP Award against the Blues.
"Fletch’ has come through our train-on and VFLW program the past few seasons and has been on a rapid rate of improvement,” GWS Giants AFLW List Manager Tyson Bourke told the club's website.
“She is powerful, competitive and strong fundamentally and it’s exciting to give her the opportunity to play AFLW after working hard to make the dream come true.”
Fletcher is the second North Melbourne-Werribee player to be added to an AFLW list over the past month, following Tessa Boyd's elevation by the Kangaroos a fortnight ago.
Box Hill Hawks ruck Maddison Torpey and Sandringham recruit Lauren Brazzale were also signed by Carlton and Richmond respectively in recent weeks.
