AN MRI scan has confirmed that injury-plagued Fremantle midfielder Harley Bennell has suffered yet another calf setback.

Bennell reported calf soreness at the end of Tuesday's training session and an initial ultrasound showed no abnormality.

"Unfortunately, the MRI confirmed that Harley has re-injured his right calf," Dockers general manager of football Peter Bell said.

"Harley will be further assessed in the coming days to determine a return to playing date."

Bennell was two weeks away from a return to playing before this latest setback.
