AFL.com.au is bringing fans a fresh new player-led vodcast series On The Inside, hosted by Carlton captain Patrick Cripps, Brisbane superstar Lachie Neale and Collingwood veteran Tom Mitchell, launching today on AFL channels.

On The Inside is the first AFL player-led show on the AFL digital platforms, and the star-studded trio will take fans behind the scenes giving them an insight into life as an AFL player and the big footy topics each home and away round for the remainder of the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.

With five Brownlow medals between them, the series will provide a unique insight into navigating the physical and mental toll of a long and winding season and managing relationships with coaches and teammates.

Each week will see a mix of the three champion midfielders on the show as they reflect on their own games, share a players' perspective on industry news topics, and provide insights on various components of elite-level sport.

As part of a broader partnership with AFL.com.au and Gatorade, Mitchell, Cripps and Neale are also creating content for AFL social channels aimed at helping junior players at local level to develop their craft.

2018 Brownlow medallist Tom Mitchell, who has helped to build the Ball Magnets content and training brand over several years, said On The Inside will bring a different lens to the AFL conversation.

"We are pumped to bring On The Inside to life with the AFL.com.au team, giving a unique insight into the AFL world and also helping future stars with some tips and advice," Mitchell said.

Two-time Brownlow medallists Patrick Cripps and Lachie Neale said Ball Magnets was excited to team up with the AFL to bring the vodcast to the footy audience.

"We've loved creating Ball Magnets and this vodcast felt like the natural evolution, tapping into the topics of the week to bring a fresh perspective, whilst educating viewers at the same time," Cripps said.

"On The Inside is really exciting, it gives us the opportunity to give an insider point of view into the elite game and footy news and share our knowledge of the game to a broader audience," Neale said.

Executive General Manager Customer and Consumer Bec Haagsma said the new vodcast was an exciting joint venture between AFL.com.au and the Ball Magnets team.

"On The Inside is the first AFL player-led show on our platforms and we are really excited – Lachie, Patrick and Tom are fantastic ambassadors of the game and will bring a fascinating perspective to the vodcast, as well as social channels to help future stars improve their skills" Haagsma said.

The vodcast is supported by Gatorade, and new episodes of On The Inside will drop every Tuesday on AFL.com.au, the AFL Live App and YouTube, with a podcast version also available on all podcast apps.
