The rebel VFLW teams for Round 12.

Carlton has named 12 AFLW players for its clash with the Western Bulldogs at IKON Park on Saturday. Dual All-Australian and club best and fairest winner Breann Moody is one of five inclusions, alongside AFLW teammates Maddy Hendrie and Meg Robertson.

The Western Bulldogs regain captain Steph Asciak, Millie Klingbeil and Tannah Hurst among five changes, although Brianna McFarlane and Leah Swain will both miss through injury.

Box Hill Hawks have named former Fremantle and Carlton forward Serena Gibbs for her first game in brown and gold when the Hawks host Essendon at Box Hill City Oval.

The key forward played eight AFLW games across six seasons with the Dockers and Blues, with her 2024 season curtailed by knee injuries.

Abbey McDonald returns for Essendon after being sidelined by concussion. The Bombers are desperate to break a five-game losing streak to stay in the finals race.

Nic Hales has been named for her 100th VFLW game when North Melbourne-Werribee hosts Port Melbourne at Arden Street Oval. The centurion returns for her first game since Round 5 and will be joined in the reigning premier's line-up by Alana Barba.

Port Melbourne has been forced into one change, with co-captain Eloise Ashley-Cooper sidelined by a shoulder issue.

Sandringham has received a cruel blow ahead of its clash with Geelong at Wilson Storage Trevor Barker Beach Oval, with Imogen Evans suffering a serious knee injury in last week’s loss at Box Hill.

In her place, the Zebras have named former Collingwood and Carlton AFLW player Alison Downie for her first game with the club. Downie featured in 59 AFLW games and hasn't played since her final AFLW game in 2022.

Elsewhere, Steph Simpson returns for Darebin's crunch game against Williamstown at Genis Steel Oval on Sunday.
