The AFL and AAMI have today announced a partnership extension, seeing one of Australia’s largest and most awarded insurers expand their association for a minimum of three years.
The extended partnership as the Major General Insurance Partner across the AFL and AFLW, will see AAMI continue with the iconic centre circle signage and continue to deliver Clangers for Good for fans and Community Clubs.
Announced at the end of 2025, AAMI has backed the return of elite-level state based representative football, partnering with the AFL for the 2026 AAMI AFL Origin which will take place this Saturday in front of a sold-out Optus Stadium as Western Australia go head-to-head with Victoria.
AAMI will continue as the AAMI Community Series Premier Partner, which sees all 18 clubs participate in the pre-season competition, with matches to be played at regional and suburban venues across the country. The AAMI Community Series commences from Wednesday 25 February– Sunday 1 March 2026.
As part of the AFL’s and AAMI’s commitment to advancing community football, the Indigenous Scholarship Fund will be introduced – supporting Indigenous and Multicultural players in talent pathways programs with further details to be announced.
AAMI will continue to support the Dreamtime at the ‘G Community Ticketing Scheme, which sees over 7,000 tickets provided to First Nations Communities and Organisations to attend the match during Sir Doug Nichols Round.
