GREATER Western Sydney has delisted Coleman Medal winner Jesse Hogan after six seasons at the Giants.

The 31-year-old departs after playing just nine games this season due to a string of injuries, and comes just two years after he won the Coleman and an All Australian blazer in 2024.

The club said "we believe this is the right time for Jesse to pursue a new opportunity".

Last month, AFL.com.au reported Collingwood and Gold Coast had shown some interest in Hogan.

"Jesse has made a significant contribution to the Giants over the past six seasons, and we're incredibly grateful for everything he has brought to our football club," Giants footy boss Jason McCartney said.

"We've seen Jesse at his best in the orange and charcoal and know what he's capable of when he's able to play with consistency.

"However, as we look ahead, we believe this is the right time for Jesse to pursue a new opportunity while we continue to shape our forward line for the years ahead.

"Again, we’re thankful for everything he gave our club and we wish all the best with what comes next."

Hogan's departure comes after fellow veteran Jake Stringer confirmed on Monday he will also depart the club, with plans to continue his career in Melbourne next season.

The club re-signed young forward Max Gruzewski on a new deal earlier this year.

The Giants are still waiting for a decision from skipper Toby Greene, who is out of contract and has been linked to a possible move to Geelong as a free agent.

Hogan started his career at Melbourne at 2015, kicking more than 40 goals in three of his first four seasons before moving to Fremantle.

After playing just 19 games in two seasons in the west, he was given a lifeline by the Giants in 2021 and was a key part of their finals campaigns in 2023 and 2024, kicking a career best 77 goals in 2024.

In all, he has kicked 409 goals in 190 games at AFL level, an average of 2.2 goals per game.
