FREMANTLE has delisted untried winger Jaren Carr but has committed to handing the father-son prospect an AFL lifeline through next month's rookie draft.
The move opens another spot on the Dockers' primary list ahead of the national draft, with the club confirming it intends to re-draft the 22-year-old as a rookie.
WHO'S CALLED IT QUITS 2026's retirements and delistings
Carr, who is yet to make his AFL debut, has continued to develop at WAFL level since arriving at Fremantle with pick No.63 in 2024.
He averaged 21.3 disposals across 17 league appearances for Peel Thunder this season and kicked eight goals.
Carr produced several strong performances late in the season, including 30 disposals in Peel's finals clash against Claremont.
At 191cm, Carr became Fremantle's first father-son selection through the national draft.
His father Matthew played 134 games for Fremantle between 2001 and 2008, while his uncle Josh also played 83 games for the Dockers.
"Jaren has continued to develop in all aspects of his footy after being drafted at 20," Fremantle football boss Joe Brierty said.
"We are committed to taking him in the rookie draft and continuing his AFL career with us."
