COLLINGWOOD defender Jeremy Howe has taken many memorable marks in his 131 games, but he might have plucked his finest in Monday's Queen’s Birthday clash against Melbourne at the MCG.

Howe's soaring grab over Demon Tom McDonald came on the verge of half-time and had the crowd on its feet, with the Magpies high-flyer leaping and then getting a second boost from McDonald.

The 26-year-old took the mark on his chest at the peak of his climb before descending, completing an entry for the 2017 Woolworths Mark of the Year that will be hard to top in the second half of the season.

Howe, who won Mark of the Year in 2012, backed up his work with another fine grab moments later, further highlighting his aerial prowess in a career that delivers almost weekly highlights.

The former Demon has become an excellent intercepting defender in his second season at his new club but remains one of the game's finest high-flying marks at whatever end of the ground he is stationed.
