TWO HISTORIC rematches headline round one of the 2018 NAB AFL Women's competition.

Carlton and Collingwood will once again kick off the season at Ikon Park on Friday, February 3 at 7.40pm.

Premier Adelaide will host the Brisbane Lions the following day, in a reprise of the Grand Final.

The season will once again be seven weeks long, with the top two sides facing off in the Grand Final on March 24, with a time and place yet to be determined. Whoever finishes first on the ladder will have hosting rights.

Adelaide, Fremantle, Greater Western Sydney and Melbourne will each have four home matches, while the Brisbane Lions, Carlton, Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs have three.

Unlike last year, there are no double-header clashes with the AFL JLT Community Series.

New venues for the 2018 season include Perth Stadium, Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex (Moreton Bay, Queensland), TIO Traeger Park (Alice Springs, Northern Territory), Ted Summerton Reserve (Moe, Victoria) and Drummoyne Oval (Drummoyne, NSW).

Here's what your club faces next year:

Adelaide

Home games: Brisbane Lions (round one, Norwood), Western Bulldogs (round three, Norwood), Carlton (round five, Norwood), Fremantle (round six, Darwin)

Away games: Melbourne (round two, Casey Fields), GWS (round four, Blacktown), Collingwood (round seven, Olympic Park)

As reigning premier, Adelaide kicks off the season with a home Grand Final rematch against the Brisbane Lions at Norwood Oval.

The Crows have graduated almost permanently to Norwood, outgrowing Thebarton Oval where they played several matches last season.

All in all, the Crows have a very good draw, with relatively short away trips to Melbourne (twice) and Sydney, but do have one home game in Darwin.

Brisbane Lions

Home games: Western Bulldogs (round two, South Pine), Fremantle (round four, South Pine), Collingwood (round six, Moreton Bay)

Away games: Adelaide (round one, Norwood), Carlton (round three, Ikon Park), Melbourne (round five, Casey Fields), GWS (round seven, Blacktown)

The Brisbane Lions end up on the wrong side of the home-away split, with three home matches. Two will be played at South Pine, in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, and the third at Moreton Bay (halfway between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast).

The Lions start the season with a Grand Final rematch against the Crows in Adelaide.

Other away trips are to Melbourne (twice) and Sydney.

Carlton

Home games: Collingwood (round one, Ikon Park), Brisbane Lions (round three, Ikon Park), Melbourne (round six, Ikon Park)

Away games: GWS (round two, Drummoyne Oval, Sydney), Western Bulldogs (round four, Whitten Oval), Adelaide (round five, Norwood), Fremantle (round seven, Fremantle Oval)

In a nod to last season, Carlton will host the first match of 2018 against Collingwood at Ikon Park.

The Blues will be one of the busier AFLW sides, with trips to Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

That will be offset somewhat by an "away trip" to the western suburbs of Melbourne when they take on the Bulldogs at Whitten Oval.

Collingwood

Home games: GWS (round three, Olympic Park Oval), Western Bulldogs (round five, Ted Summerton Reserve, Moe), Adelaide (round seven, Olympic Park Oval)

Away games: Carlton (round one, Ikon Park), Fremantle (round two, Perth Stadium), Melbourne (round four, Alice Springs), Brisbane Lions (round six, Moreton Bay)

Collingwood will log its share of frequent flyer points in 2018.

The Magpies have games in Perth, Alice Springs and Brisbane, and will also host the Western Bulldogs in Moe (eastern Victoria).

Collingwood has just two home games in Melbourne, against Adelaide and the Giants, at the small-capacity Olympic Park Oval.

Fremantle

Home games: Collingwood (round two, Perth Stadium), Melbourne (round three, Fremantle Oval), GWS (round five, Fremantle Oval), Carlton (round seven, Fremantle Oval)

Away games: Western Bulldogs (round one, Whitten Oval), Brisbane Lions (round four, South Pine), Adelaide (round six, Darwin)

Fremantle will host the first football match at the new Perth Stadium, playing Collingwood there in round two.

The Dockers have four home matches, the rest being played at Fremantle Oval.

They will have two trips to the east coast (one in Melbourne and one in Brisbane), and will travel north to play Adelaide in Darwin.

Greater Western Sydney

Home games: Carlton (round two, Drummoyne Oval Sydney), Adelaide (round four, Blacktown), Western Bulldogs (round six, Canberra), Brisbane Lions (round seven, Blacktown)

Away games: Melbourne (round one, Casey Fields), Collingwood (round three, Olympic Park Oval), Fremantle (round five, Fremantle Oval)

The Giants have the most "home grounds" of any AFLW side, hosting matches at Drummoyne Oval in Sydney, Blacktown in western Sydney and Canberra.

Aside from a trip to Perth halfway through the season, the Giants have a relatively comfortable draw, with two trips to Melbourne.

Their first match is against Melbourne at Casey Fields.

Melbourne

Home games: GWS (round one, Casey Fields), Adelaide (round two, Casey Fields), Collingwood (round four, Alice Springs), Brisbane Lions (round five, Casey Fields),

Away games: Fremantle (round three, Fremantle Oval), Carlton (round six, Ikon Park), Western Bulldogs (round seven, Whitten Oval)

Melbourne has arguably the best draw of any side, with only two games outside Melbourne.

One of those games is a ‘home’ match in Alice Springs, which will be the first AFLW match to be played there.

The rest of the Demons' home matches will be at Casey Fields, in Melbourne's outer south-east.

Western Bulldogs

Home games: Fremantle (round one, Whitten Oval), Carlton (round four, Whitten Oval), Melbourne (round seven, Whitten Oval)

Away games: Brisbane Lions (round two, South Pine), Adelaide (round three, Norwood), Collingwood (round five, Ted Summerton Reserve, Moe), GWS (round six, Canberra)

The Bulldogs will play all their home games at Whitten Oval, one of only two clubs (alongside Carlton) to have one home base.

The Dogs have four away games, including the round-five fixture against the Magpies in Moe. Their other away trips are to Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra.
