Adelaide Crows

Draft picks: 4, 23, 28, 48

Who they're after: A ruckman/forward with Port Adelaide's Billy Frampton leading the charge. Brodie Grundy would be a dream acquisition but the contracted Pie won't come cheap. Orazio Fantasia could seek a trade home but the Power appear better placed. It seems it's mainly about picks in for the Crows this year, rather than ready-made talent.

Who might leave: Sit down and get comfy as we rattle them off. Cam Ellis-Yolmen has gone to Brisbane, Eddie Betts wants to be a Blue again, Hugh Greenwood likes Gold Coast, Alex Keath is keen on the Kennel, Josh Jenkins wants Victoria and Sam Jacobs will become a Giant. Brad Crouch wants to stay but money might lure him to the Suns while there's interest in Riley Knight- Jennifer Phelan

TRADE HUB All the latest news

Josh Jenkins looks likely to be at another club in 2020.

Brisbane Lions

Draft picks: 16, 21, 34, 45, 54, 90

Who they're after: Still an active player after the past two busy off-seasons, the Lions have landed Adelaide free agent Cam Ellis-Yolmen and are in the box seat to attract Gold Coast utility Callum Ah Chee via trade. They have also emerged as a contender to lure Collingwood's Jamie Elliott to add to the forward mix. The Magpie toured Lions HQ on Saturday.

Who might leave: Quite a few players still in limbo with Tom Cutler attracting interest from clubs in Melbourne and Lewy Taylor from Sydney. Allen Christensen is among a number of out-of-contract players, as well as unrestricted free agents Ryan Lester and Ryan Bastinac- Michael Whiting

Allen Christensen remains without a contract ahead of Trade Period.

Carlton

Draft picks: 9, 42, 47, 71, 84

Who they're after: Carlton is red hot on clever forward Tom Papley and will secure a reunion with former club great Eddie Betts. The Blues expect the Swans to play hard-ball on Papley and may have to pay a premium to secure him. Back-up options include Dan Butler and Sam Gray. Classy midfielder Jack Martin has requested a trade to Ikon Park, while Carlton is also eyeing additional ruck depth. There is some interest in Tom Cutler and Riley Knight

Who might leave: Back-up ruckman Andrew Phillips is weighing up his options, having only received a one-year offer from Carlton. Versatile tall Levi Casboult is in a similar boat, as he searches for more long-term security despite triggering an extension to stay at Ikon Park. Expect this year and next year's first-round picks to be on the table, should they be required. - Riley Beveridge

The Blues are keen to sign Swan Tom Papley.

Collingwood

Draft picks: 35, 55, 68, 73

Who they're after: They'll get Swans ruckman Darcy Cameron but may have to up the ante to keep Jamie Elliott with bigger deals on offer from Brisbane and Melbourne. They enter trade period mindful of Scott Pendlebury, Jordan De Goey, Darcy Moore and Brodie Grundy coming off contract next year but that hasn't stopped Josh Jenkins being mentioned in the same sentence as Collingwood.

Who might leave: Elliott heads the list with Melbourne throwing a three-year offer on the table and Brisbane inviting him to tour the club's facilities. Ben Reid is expected to get another year but Lynden Dunn and Travis Varcoe appear in limbo and might have to wait to see what transpires. - Jennifer Phelan

Swans ruckman Darcy Cameron could be a Magpie next year.

Essendon

Draft picks: 31, 37, 51, 64, 69, 87

Who they're after: The Bombers are interested in Port Adelaide key defender Dougal Howard, and could also be keen on Power midfielder Sam Powell-Pepper. Their keenness to add to their ruck division sees them also considering Geelong big man Zac Smith and Carlton's Andrew Phillips. Brisbane utility Tom Cutler is also on the Bombers' radar.

Who might leave: Much of Essendon's activity will depend on the departures. Joe Daniher has requested a trade to Sydney and Essendon will be demanding a great return for the key forward – potentially two first-round picks – while they will also be targeting Port Adelaide's first selection if Orazio Fantasia requests a trade to the Power. That's the doomsday scenario that the Bombers are bracing themselves for. Zac Clarke, Michael Hartley, Mitch Brown and Will Snelling are all unsigned unrestricted free agents. - Callum Twomey

Will Power defender Dougal Howard join the Bombers?

Fremantle

Draft picks: 7, 26, 82

Who they're after: Geelong star Tim Kelly has requested a trade and nominated West Coast as his preferred destination, but the Dockers won't die wondering if those negotiations drag out close to the trade deadline. AFL.com.au revealed Freo's interest in fringe Tigers wingman Connor Menadue as they prepare to lose some prime movers.

Who might leave: Elite runners Bradley Hill and Ed Langdon are both headed for the exit door, with Hill nominating St Kilda as his club of choice as he hopes to be released from the final two years of his contract. Melbourne is keen on Langdon to add some outside pace. Connor Blakely is "gettable" according to reports but seems unlikely to leave. – Travis King

The Dockers want Connor Menadue's speed on their side, not chasing them down.

Geelong Cats

Draft picks: 17, 36, 56, 92

Who they're after: Four-time St Kilda best and fairest Jack Steven is a target as the Cats look to add speed to a midfield lacking pace. The Cats went after – and missed – North Melbourne ruckman Todd Goldstein late in the season, so they could look to that department again.

Who might leave: Gun midfielder Tim Kelly wants to get to West Coast and talks with the Eagles will ramp up on Monday. Lachie Henderson and Wylie Buzza remain without contract offers along with Zac Smith who has interest from his previous club Gold Coast and Essendon. - Mitch Cleary

Jack Steven hopes to be playing at the Cats in 2020.

Gold Coast Suns

Draft picks: 1, 2, 15, 20, 57, 77, 89

Who they're after: Two-time premiership Tiger Brandon Ellis is on board as a free agent on a lucrative five-year deal. Strong Adelaide midfielder Hugh Greenwood has also requested a trade there, while teammate Brad Crouch also appears to be in Gold Coast's crosshairs, although that deal could be difficult to get done.

Who might leave: After seven years at the club – and six on the senior list – Jack Martin has requested a trade to Carlton. Versatile Callum Ah Chee has also expressed a desire for a fresh start, with Brisbane his likely destination. Ruckman Tom Nicholls is still an unsigned unrestricted free agent. - Michael Whiting

GWS Giants

Draft picks: 12, 18, 59, 79, 93

Who might leave: Two original Giants in Jon Patton and Adam Tomlinson said emotional goodbyes at the Kevin Sheedy Medal on Friday night, with Patton (Hawthorn) already indicating his preferred new home, and Tomlinson (Melbourne) expected to do so this week. - Adam Curley

Sam Jacobs is likely to be a Giant in 2020.

Hawthorn

Draft picks: 11, 30, 49, 86, 91

Who they're after: Jon Patton wants to join fellow ex-Giant Tom Scully at Waverley, and given his injury history, won't cost much in a trade. Sam Frost looks likely to join him in the brown and gold, while Isaac Smith is set to stay.

Who might leave: Grant Birchall and Paul Puopolo have to wait until the end of Trade Period to see if they're required, with some suggestion the former could replace Luke Hodge at the Lions. - Jennifer Phelan

Jon Patton has requested a trade to Hawthorn after making his name at GWS.

Melbourne

Draft picks: 3, 22, 41, 60, 78

Who they're after: The Dees have confirmed their interest in the in-demand Jamie Elliott, offering the forward a three-year deal, and are also expecting two wingers in GWS' Adam Tomlinson and Fremantle's Ed Langdon to join the club. Collingwood's Sam Murray, who is currently serving a ban from ASADA for traces of cocaine found in a match-day test, has also been linked to Melbourne. He is able to resume training on December 17 and can play two months after that.

Who might leave: Most of Melbourne's players are now signed up, but key defender Sam Frost is looking to make a move to Hawthorn. Outside runner Billy Stretch is also without a contract and his future could hinge on the outcome of the Trade Period. - Sarah Black

Ed Langdon's running power is in demand at the Demons.

North Melbourne

Draft picks: 8, 27, 46, 72, 83

Who they're after: The Roos would love to trade for Swan Tom Papley to bolster their small forward stocks, but his preference is Carlton. They've also met with Port Adelaide swingman Dougal Howard – who would be an ideal replacement for the retired Scott Thompson – and are among several clubs considering recruiting banned Pie Sam Murray.

Who might leave: Athletic forward Mason Wood is available if another club wants to pay up, but so far there haven't been many takers. Fremantle showed some early interest but any potential Wood deal won't be one of the first cabs off the rank. - Marc McGowan

Banned ex-Magpie Sam Murray has garnered some interest.

Port Adelaide

Draft picks: 10, 29, 65, 66, 67, 70, 85

Who they're after: It's all about Orazio Fantasia for Port Adelaide. The Essendon speedster was linked with both South Australian clubs months ago, and the reports just won't go away.

Who might leave: Looming as a big off-season for the Power. Paddy Ryder has requested a trade to St Kilda, while young forward Billy Frampton has also asked to move. Dougal Howard has been linked with a host of clubs, while Sam Gray has also been connected with St Kilda. Matthew Broadbent is an unrestricted free agent. - Sarah Black

Intrigue surrounds Orazio Fantasia's home in 2020.

Richmond

Draft picks: 19, 38, 39, 40, 74, 76, 94

Who they're after: It's all relatively quiet for the Tigers, whose season only finished up last week. Reports have linked Richmond with Sydney speedster Zak Jones, but there's been nothing concrete as yet.

Who might leave: Brandon Ellis is now officially a Sun after the Tigers chose not to match Gold Coast's offer for the restricted agent. Both Carlton and St Kilda are reportedly interested in the out-of-contract Dan Butler, while Connor Menadue and Kamdyn McIntosh could also be on the move west in search of greater senior opportunities. - Sarah Black

INDICATIVE DRAFT ORDER Your club's latest picks

Kamdyn McIntosh is in search of more opportunity after falling out of favour at Richmond.

St Kilda

Draft picks: 6, 58, 75, 81

Who they’re after: Already, Fremantle running machine Bradley Hill and Port Adelaide veteran Paddy Ryder have requested trades to land at Moorabbin. Ryder isn't the only one at the Power who the Saints are looking at, with big man Dougal Howard and small forward Sam Gray in their sights. Sydney speedster Zak Jones looks likely to end up at St Kilda as well.

Who might leave: Four-time best and fairest Jack Steven is set to depart for Geelong, key forward Josh Bruce is headed for the Western Bulldogs and there has been a murmuring hard-nosed defender Daniel McKenzie could be on the trade table, despite signing on for another three years in May. Meanwhile, the future of restricted free agent Jack Newnes remains uncertain. All the wheeling and dealing won't come cheap though, and the club is prepared to lose its prized first-round selection in the NAB AFL Draft. - Dinny Navaratnam

The Saints are really keen to secure Bradley Hill.

Sydney Swans

Draft picks: 5, 25, 43, 53, 61, 62, 80

Who they're after: Contracted Essendon star Joe Daniher has expressed his desire to join superstar Swan Lance Franklin in Sydney's forward line next season, so that trade looms as the period's biggest transaction.

Who might leave: Tom Papley looks headed back to Melbourne and has picked Carlton as his club of choice. The small forward is contracted, but his exit could be used in a deal to help the Swans get Daniher through the door, should they need it. - Adam Curley

Joe Daniher has requested a trade to the Swans after months of speculation.

West Coast Eagles

Draft picks: 14, 24, 33, 63

Who they're after: The Eagles are focusing all their attention on getting Tim Kelly across the line after falling short of satisfying Geelong 12 months ago. The Cats could push for two first-round draft picks this year, leaving West Coast with some work to do to.

Who might leave: Andrew Gaff's name has been raised in trade speculation but it has been reported the Victorian isn't in Geelong's sights and he would seem almost certain to stay only 12 months after turning his back on North Melbourne's interest. – Travis King

It's all about Tim Kelly for the Eagles.

Western Bulldogs

Draft picks: 13, 32, 44, 50, 52, 88

Who they're after: Adelaide defender Alex Keath has nominated the Bulldogs as his preferred destination and a second-round pick should get that done. The Dogs are also targeting Saint Josh Bruce, and have expressed interest in Sun Jack Martin. They'll also be keeping a close eye on Sam Gray and Dan Butler as they look for another small forward.

Who might leave: Player retention looks pretty good at this stage, with no current Dogs linked to other clubs. They've got some list spots open as they had three retirees in 2019 (Tom Boyd, Liam Picken and Dale Morris) and unrestricted free agents Tory Dickson and Fletcher Roberts are still holding out hope of being offered new deals. - Josh Schonafinger

Josh Bruce will add a boost to the Bulldogs' tall forward stocks.
