Incident assessed:
The match day report laid against Carlton’s Marc Murphy for contact on St Kilda’s Jake Carlisle from the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s match was assessed. Murphy is standing the mark as Paton is preparing to dispose of the football. Carlisle moves to block Murphy as his teammate plays on. Murphy makes contact with Carlisle’s shoulder with his upper arm. It was the view of the MRO that Murphy’s actions did not constitute a strike, and additionally did not have sufficient force to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
