Terms & Conditions
1. The competition is open to all senior and junior Australian Football community clubs in Australia.
2. The competition commences on the150years.com.au (“the Website”), on 09:00 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on 14 July 2008 and will close on 17:00 AEST on 15 August 2008.
3. Entries received after 17.00 AEST on 15 August 2008 will not be considered.
4. To enter the competition, eligible clubs must:
• Register their details via the online registration form located on the Website.
• Submit a photograph of an individual dressed in the club’s playing uniform as specified in the online registration form located on the Website.
• Submit 100-words on the history of the club’s playing uniform’s colours and design via the online registration form located on the Website.
5. A panel chosen by the AFL will select the top 20 entries submitted based on criteria including, but not limited to, originality of design and/or colours and the compelling nature of the design and/or colours’ history. The order picked by the panel will have no bearing over the final result unless in the event of a tie.
6. Public voting on the selected top 20 entries will commence through the Website on 09:00 AEST on 25 August 2008 and will continue until 17:00 AEST on 12 September 2008.
7. All entrants acknowledge that the AFL may contact any of the top 20 entries for media, website and promotional purposes, and that they will comply with any reasonable requests of the AFL in this regard.
8. The club featured in the entry receiving the most public votes will be declared the winner.
9. In the event of two entries receiving the same number of public votes, the winning club will be the entry selected higher by the panel during the initial judging period.
10. The AFL’s decision on the winner is final, with no correspondence entered into.
11. The AFL has the right to make enquiries into the details provided by an entrant to determine the accuracy of information provided and eligibility of the entrant.
12. The winning club will be contacted by the AFL and announced on the Website on Wednesday 17 September 2008.
Prize
13. The club whose submitted entry receives the most public votes through the Website will receive the following apparel from Nike with an estimated total retail value of $10,000:
• 60 x t-shirts
• 60 x training shorts
• 60 x football socks
• 60 x sports packs or backpacks
14. The apparel will come from in line Nike stock and will not contain any club-specific branding, logos or embroidery.
15. The apparel will be available in either all-adult sizes (in the event that the winner is a senior club) or all-youth sizes (in the event that the winner is a junior club).
16. The winning club must submit clothing sizes to Nike by no later than 17:00 AEST on 17 October, 2008 with anticipated delivery to the winning community club in February 2009.
17. Prizes for second and/or third place are at the discretion of the AFL.
