Direct Communications Coordinator
The Brisbane Lions A.F.C, arguably the AFL's most successful team and brand over the last decade, is seeking to appoint a talented and dedicated Direct Communications Coordinator to become a key member of the Consumer Business team. The Brisbane Lions A.F.C has diverse service offerings, an ever increasing profile and strong brand.
Reporting to the Marketing and Ticketing Manager, this brand new opportunity will focus on the coordination of Brisbane Lions’ direct communications through all channels including edm, sms, lions.com.au, lions membership subscriptions, social media and direct mail. You will be required to assist with the coordination and execution of various campaigns including membership renewal campaigns, acquisition campaigns, and membership fulfillment. The role is responsible for managing all outbound Member email and direct communications regarding membership promotions, merchandise campaigns, club events and corporate hospitality offerings.
This diverse role will work collaboratively with various departments to create new and engaging activities with the view to providing up to date and relevant information to positively promote Brisbane Lions products. In particular, you will be required to work with the Membership Manager to coordinate member research campaigns; the Fan Development Manager to roll out match day experience surveys and research; and with the Corporate Services team to research product offerings and events. There is an element of reporting to board level involved which will include measuring outcomes on past activities, membership, and sales effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role which would include database management; marketing campaign development and implementation; demonstrable experience in research and survey projects; and experience with measurement, evaluation and best practices. Previous experience in direct marketing and ticketing is advantageous. You must possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills in order to hit the ground running, and establish and build relationships, rapport and respect across departments and regions quickly. The role requires a creative individual who has the ability to work autonomously and think on their feet. You must be highly organised with efficient and effective time management skills, demonstrate a high level of IT proficiency and outstanding attention to detail. A desire and passion to work in the sporting industry is preferred. You should be tertiary qualified or possess extensive, equivalent experience.
A competitive salary is on offer for the successful candidate. General business hours will be from 8:30am - 5:00pm Mon -Fri, however match day participation will be required, as is interstate travel on occasions.
