Swift heads a handful of midfielders ready to step in for Staker, while Kennedy may be called on to relieve the out of sorts Ash Hansen.
Coach John Worsfold said Hansen hadn't been playing anywhere near his best and Kennedy would be considered this week.
“I would say that we’ve been hoping that [Hansen's] form would improve over the last couple of weeks and it hasn’t really got to where we’d like it to get to," Worsfold said from Subiaco Oval on Tuesday.
“What we’ve got to weigh up is what option [we take] if we do choose not to play Ash this week – how can we make our forward line better without him? We need to look at the personnel available or different types of line-ups.”
Kennedy didn't play any football last weekend after being poked in the eye playing for WAFL side East Fremantle a week prior.
But Worsfold said the 21-year-old's form leading up to that injury would see him considered for his first AFL match this season.
Premiership tagger Tyson Stenglein is also a chance to return after being left out of the side that lost Saturday's western derby, but Worsfold said he may need a week in the WAFL.
"With a spot being opened up with Staker being out, it does mean that we will consider Tyson.
"Whether a week off to really freshen up ... was enough, that's a gut feel you can go with.
"Sometimes it is; sometimes you can see in their demeanour that they're relaxed and they're ready to go back to their best."
Worsfold said Jamie McNamara, Scott Selwood and Tim Houlihan had all shown good form over the past month and were also chances to come into the side.
The coach added key onballer Daniel Kerr had pulled up fine after severely cramping and repeatedly vomiting during the Western derby loss.
"There's no issue," he said.
"The bigger worry for us with Daniel on the weekend was that his cramping restricted his body to play out the second half.
"The vomiting may not have even been part of that, because he vomits most weeks.”
