Public opinion is always split during Grand Final week when everyone manages to find a bandwagon to jump on or a reason not to support one side.

This year’s decider has been built up as “Collingwood versus everyone else”, with most football followers having a love-hate relationship with the Pies.

Despite not being involved, there is always plenty of opinion and banter here at the football club about who will win and why.

afc.com.au walked the corridors and asked a few of the Crows heavyweights, including David Grenvold (Manager - Corporate Development) who played for Essendon against Collingwood in their last Premiership in 1990, which side they thought would take out the 2010 Grand Final...

Neil Craig - Collingwood by 13 points.
“They have been so consistent all year.”

Richard Douglas - Collingwood by 3 goals
“They have been the best side all year and should be fresher. If it’s a sunny day they should have plenty of run after having an easier preliminary final. But the Saints will be very hungry so you never know in footy!”

Steven Trigg - St Kilda by 12 points
“Everybody it would seem thinks that Collingwood are going to win. I think that if St Kilda defend them as strongly as they can defend, particularly wide, then they can win.”

Phil Harper - Collingwood by 24 points
“They’re consistency as a team throughout the year. They don’t rely on one or two players to play well, they all do their bit.”

Trent Hentschel - Collingwood by 26 points
“They’ll win because they have been the best side all year.”

Ben Hart - St Kilda by 16 points
“Defensively I think St Kilda match up on them well. If they can match Collingwood’s pressure, which is the key to their game plan, then they will win. If their forwards like Riewoldt can get into the game they’ll kick a winning score.”

David Grenvold - Collingwood by 24 points
“Because they have a better defensive group and they are really well organised from a whole game plan perspective. As long as they can quell Riewoldt, and to a lesser extent Koschitzke, with their defensive pressure from the supply side of things, I think they’ll get up.”

“If they get up the town will go nuts, that’s what you can’t argue with in Melbourne, they’re a pain in the butt the Collingwood faithful. They do support their side passionately, so there will be a lot of Melbourne that won’t want to go to work on Monday!”

Jared Petrenko - Collingwood by a few goals
“I grew up supporting the Saints as my dad is a Saints supporter and I took him to the Grand Final last year, so I’m hoping they get up, but I think Collingwood will be too good.”

Darren Jarman - St Kilda by 13 points
“I’m going to tip the upset. I think Collingwood were fantastic last week but I’ve got the feeling they played their Grand Final a week early. Saints have the experience and I think they’ll get up in a close one.”

Matthew Robran - Collingwood by about four goals
“They’ve got an incredible ability to score goals with their forward line players, and they’ve got a very sound defence as well and maybe St Kilda will rely on Riewoldt too much.”

David Noble - Collingwood by 2 goals
“Because of the fact I think they are better defensively than St Kilda and they’re capacity to score given the chances they can get.”
