Sydney Swans member Des Lee is the inaugural Member of the Week.

sydneyswans.com.au got the inside story on why Des loves the Swans, his most memorable moments and who his favourite player is.

Here's what Des had to say...

When did you first join the Sydney Swans?
I first started going to games in 1997, and I have been a member since 1998.

What do you like most about being a member?
I think the sense of belonging to a club - footy transcends all borders and I have made many friends through supporting the Swans. In many cases, a love of the Swans is the only thing we have in common, but we all get along pretty well when discussing the 2005 flag or Goodesy's knee! I have also been lucky enough to be involved in the creation of the redandwhiteonline.com fan website, through which I have met many like-minded Bloods fans from all over the globe!

What is your all-time favourite Swans moment?
The premiership is hard to beat of course, but Nick Davis' performance against Geelong in 2005 and Plugger's 1300th goal at the SCG come close.

What has been your favourite moment in 2010?
Lewis Jetta's first goal, without a doubt. What a story, and what a build-up!!

Who do you think will be 2010 Club Champion?
I think Shane Mumford and Kieren Jack will poll well, but don't discount Dan Hannebery!!

Who is your favourite Swans player?
I don't really have favourites, but I do have a soft spot for Mike Pyke and Kieren Jack. They both have great stories in how they came to be part of the team.

Where do you sit at the SCG/ANZ Stadium? Why do you love these seats?
Top of the O'Reilly stand at the SCG. The view on the wing is great, and it's out of reach of the elements! On the concourse centre wing at ANZ. These are closer to the action and the atmosphere is fantastic, especially if we are playing well!!!

What do you like most about coming to Swans matches?
Aussie Rules is a game that really is best appreciated live! The action happens all over the field and it is hard to understand the nuances if you just watch on TV. Plus of course it is therapeutic to be able to cheer, scream and shout like a maniac while supporting the team! It's a great day out with the family, and I need to teach our two year old daughter the right team to support! My wife is a Cats girl, so I need to watch out.

Any final words for the team?
Never give up. The current reputation of the Swans was earnt during the 2003-06 period though tough, uncompromising football and a never-say-die attitude. Win or lose, we like to know that the side has always given its very best on the field.
