I would like to think we will finish on top of the ladder for 2006 and play St.Kilda in the Grand Final. If the players don't get injured and play consist football each week they should finish first or second. But I would still like to be first on the ladder. Go D's!- IreneMelbourne should come second or third in the AFL ladder in the 2006 ladder.- DanielI think that Melbourne will finish 2nd (to St.Kilda) in 2006. Our blend of the older guys i.e Neitz, Yze, Brown mixed with our young talent Sylvia, Mclean, Ferguson and Davey will provide a more consistent year. Melbourne will provide us with 17 wins 5 losses- CameronExpect and hope the Demons to be a real premiership threat in 2006. We should have been one in the previous 2 seasons, but I believe that in 2006, we finally have a good mix of players where we can remain consistent. Players like Brad Green, Cameron Bruce, Travis Johnstone, Matthew Whelan and Paul Wheatley will all be reaching the peaks of their careers and youngsters such as Brock McLean, Colin Sylvia, Daniel Bell, Chris Johnson, Paul Johnson and Matthew Bate should all start becoming regular contributors, like Aaron Davey, Brent Moloney and Brad Miller did in 2005. We also should have a good balance of experienced players with David Neitz, Adem Yze, James McDonald, Jeff White and Nathan Brown still performing well and making an impact. Melbourne made the right decision to not make any big changes to its list in the off season, besides the addition of Byron Pickett. So, I believe that we will definitely make the finals and that top 4 would seem a reasonable aim. Hopefully, we can win our first premiership in 42 years! Go Demons in 2006!- Kevman7th. The strength of the interstate clubs from a home ground advantage and a travel perspective is always going to be telling. Melbourne to me are in the competition at the moment to survive rather than win a premiership i.e. selling interstate games is a testimony to this theory. Melbourne FC can score anywhere from 20 - 220 pts on any given day, but they always allow the opposition to score over 60 points and there for I believe the defence needs to be more aggressive at the ball and the opponent with the ball. Overall, Melbourne is a strong united team that will be competitive against all opposition, but we have to work more on the mental aspect of the game rather than physically.- RossThe oldest football club in the world. Our home ground is the MCG & needs to be our base with 10 games there. The MCC Membership 'barrackers' is where our power lies. WE have the players now the powerhouse must reform. Focus.- BrianThe build up over the past few years means we are going to let our inner demons our to take the premiership!- MellissaBeing realistic I think we'll be 4th or 5th. We have a strong growing team and we have proven (against all teams) that we can go all the way.- SteveFirst, because we are the best side in the AFL. It is so simple. There is nothing like self confidence!! But I guess there will be many others who say the same. Good luck to us all.- John
