The Western Bulldogs Golf Classic took place at Sanctuary Lakes golf course yesterday, with ten teams battling it out on the challenging Greg Norman designed course.

The Bulldogs Corporate Partners relished the chance to take on the Club’s best and worst hackers under the 4 ball Ambrose scoring system and the day provided some memorable moments for all those who attended.

Tim Callan’s 350 metre drive on the fourth hole was a highlight of the day, while Jason Akermanis needed a mechanic after his cart failed him in the hot conditions.

Fittingly the Mission Foods team, with Senior Coach Rodney Eade were the standout performers and finished the day in first position.

Following closely in second position was the WorkSafe team, aided by the big hitting Ben Hudson.

And rounding out the top three was the Western Bulldogs side consisting of Ryan Griffen, Dylan Addison and Assistant Coaches Paul Williams and Peter Dean.

The day was a fantastic success and all involved will be working hard on the links over the next twelve months so they can claim the bragging rights in 2011.
