A MID-SEASON look at the expected Brownlow Medal standings sees Adelaide star Rory Sloane relinquish the lead he has held since round six, with Richmond bull Dustin Martin taking over pole position on 17 votes.
Martin notched three votes in our polling for a superb display against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium last Saturday night. The gun Tiger has now scored eight votes from his last three games.
Silky Greater Western Sydney onballer Josh Kelly moved into second place in AFL.com.au's Brownlow predictor after polling three votes against Essendon last Saturday to bring his season tally to 16.
He is also on a hot streak with three best-afield performances from his past four games.
Martin and Kelly continue to boost their already inflated value with the highly sought after pair uncontracted beyond 2017.
If the Brownlow was awarded after 11 rounds, Sloane would share third place with Geelong skipper Joel Selwood, who dominated the Crows last Friday night in a three-vote performance.
However, as of Monday afternoon, Selwood's superstar teammate Patrick Dangerfield was favourite to again take 'Charlie' home, at $3.25 with CrownBet.
Martin ($4.25) and Sloane ($7.50) are next in the betting with Kelly ($10) and Selwood ($11) rounding out the top five.
Dangerfield, Collingwood captain Scott Pendlebury and Essendon jet Zach Merrett are all tied on 12 votes in the predictor.
