  • Reports to; General Manager, Football 
  • Work Location: Melbourne metro & regional leagues as allocated 
  • Availability: Weekend match observations, approx. 2 - 4hrs per week 

Williamstown Football Club (WFC) is now accepting applications for VFL Scouts. As part of the WFC recruiting network, you will observe players across local, VFL, and Talent League football and provide reports on VFL-level talent. This role helps build strong evidence for recruitment decisions and list management strategy. 
 
Key duties may include: 

  • Attend matches across assigned community leagues, VFL fixtures, and U18 Talent League games. 
    Note: Each scout will be allocated a certain League and are not required to be across all 3 above. 
  • Identify players who demonstrate attributes aligned with Williamstown FC’s game style and list needs. 
  • Complete regular match reports, including player ratings, strengths, weaknesses, and projection notes. 
  • Track emerging talent and monitor previously identified prospects throughout the season. 
  • Communicate insights to the recruiting team in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the club’s values when representing Williamstown FC externally.
