IT'S BEEN a great week to say sorry. From impugning the umpires to 'banter' about drowning, some of the game's biggest names have been forced to chow down on humble pie.

So it seems appropriate that we strike while the iron is hot, and demand a groveling retraction from some of woeful Fantasy scorers that cost coaches around the land crucial wins in the first bye round.

Step forward Josh Gibson (DEF, $417,000). With Jarrad Waite missing for the Roos, you had every chance to play one of your fancy-free, intercept marking games (see round two v West Coast).

Instead, you went all 'accountable', dug in bravely as the Roos attacked ferociously, and punched the ball at every opportunity on your way to 16 measly points! Must do better, Gibbo.

Step forward Lachie Whitfield (MID, $443,000). You got us all excited with a match-high 126 against the Cats a fortnight ago, and followed it up with a 91 against the Swans. Impressive stuff.

So as your boys surge past the plucky Dons, we expected a heck of a lot more than 46 from a No.1 draft pick in his fourth year.

When Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti sent you sprawling in the fourth quarter, he was sending you a message from Fantasy coaches to lift. And, for the record, he actually knew how to say sorry.

Roy has already demanded an apology from Docker Michael Walters (FWD, $434,000) who sputtered his way to 45 in a winning team so we'll give leave Son-Son alone today.

But in a League where 'sorry' can often seem to be the hardest word, we Fantasy coaches demand accountability from our players.

If you can't shape up, and you don't have your own radio show on which to apologise, then at least deliver us some points this week as compensation.

REMINDER: Partial lockout will apply for the Adelaide v North Melbourne game this week. This means any Crows or Roos you have in your squad, or any trades you make involving those players will be locked in from 7.50pm AEST, Thursday.

Get 'em in

Daniel Currie (RUC, $260,000): Pegged for a Suns return, and with his bye done he provides excellent ruck coverage. Lowest breakeven in the comp.

Matthew Kennedy (MID, $188,000): Impressive debut with three goals and 50 points. Get him in this week so you can make some extra cash after his bye. The Giants call him Bamm-Bamm but I think he's a dead ringer for British comedian Michael McIntyre. Google it, kids.

Gary Ablett (MID, $521,000): Some cavalry coming back to help Gaz this week and he's got a great record against the Hawks, who tend not to favour a tag. Grab him now before he heads back towards $600,000.

Bye for now

Josh Caddy (MID, $432,000): On the sidelines for at least six weeks as the Cats hit red-hot form. Could be a useful pick-up late season.

Tom Bell (FWD, $338,000): A disappointing year comes to its inevitable conclusion with the ex-Blue gone for the year after knee surgery.

Daniel Wells (MID/FWD, $457,000): In serious doubt for the Crows game and then North have the bye. Cash him in now and be thankful for all he's given.
