THE AFL is pressing ahead with plans to induct another group of former greats to the Australian Football Hall of Fame this year despite the coronavirus shutdown.
There were doubts the League would be able to stage the annual event due to the COVID-19 restrictions in place, but it has been locked in to run across four evenings from June 1-4.

The AFL had scheduled the ceremony for Tuesday, June 23, before the pandemic struck.
This year is set to see a legend inducted to the Australian Football Hall of Fame, becoming the 29th member of football's most illustrious group.
Another class of inductees will also be included, with Brisbane champion Simon Black set to be amongst them.
The three-time premiership Lion, Brownlow and Norm Smith medallist had been voted in by the Hall of Fame committee last year, saying it was a "huge honour".
However, he was unable to attend the function due to his filming of Australian Survivor overseas.
He was due to receive the honour at this year’s star-studded event however those plans were changed as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
