GIANTS fans want to see more fight from their team, as well as a better run with injuries.

Zac Williams, Toby Greene and Brett Deledio were among the sidelined stars this season as the Giants again failed in their bid to reach a first Grand Final.

Though they recovered to make the finals after winning just four of their first 10 matches, a stirring elimination final win over cross-town rival Sydney was followed by a season-ending loss to Collingwood.

Giving their season verdict on GWS in an AFL.com.au survey, fans voted midfielders Lachie Whitfield and Stephen Coniglio their side's best players.

Their flops were led by star forwards Greene and Jonathon Patton, who combined for only 21 games, while fellow target man Jeremy Cameron missed five games after being suspended for his hit on Lion Harris Andrews.

Coach Leon Cameron has rebuilt his support with fans, improving to an 85 per cent approval rating from just 58 per cent in a mid-season survey taken with the Giants languishing outside the eight.

Here are the full survey results, plus a selection of Giants fans' highs and lows.

What was the moment you'll remember?

The win against Adelaide in Adelaide. A real show of guts and heart with the season essentially on the line.
- Al Jackson, Lidcombe NSW

Outscoring the Blues with just 16 men on the field throughout the last quarter was a sweet feeling.
- Stacey Watts, Parramatta NSW

Toby Greene's snapped goal out of the pack with very limited space in the elimination final against Sydney. Brilliant reflex football.
- John Jenkins, Glenorie NSW

The first finals match against Sydney. I have never seen such great performances from the co-captains to shut down Buddy and control the midfield.
- James Chapman, Perth WA

What was the moment you'd rather forget?

Never mention that Collingwood final again. What happened to 'Fight until the end'?
- Belinda Brown, Jamisontown NSW

Jeremy Cameron's elbow on Harris Andrews against Brisbane.
- Thomas Rigby, Kewdale WA

Toby Greene. An embarrassing look for himself and anyone who backed his studs-up approach (Lenny Hayes).
- Nic Telfer, Perth WA

Losing to Geelong. It was one of the most demoralising performances since the 2012 season, and began the groundswell of negativity from commentators.
- Kasey Paradis, Picton NSW

Every. Single. Injury.
- Blayne Dee, Port Adelaide SA
