WESTERN Bulldogs coach Rodney Eade has forecast no changes ahead of his side's clash with reigning premiers Geelong on Friday night.

Eade said Adam Cooney, who missed training earlier in the week with illness and a sore knee, was "100 per cent right to go".

"He was here yesterday and had a bit of a jog, so he'll have another run this afternoon," Eade said.

"Everyone's fine. I wouldn't think there'd be a change at this stage. We'll have another meeting this afternoon but I would think we'll go in unchanged."

The Cats have maintained a focus this week on staying sharp in training, after finding it tough to respond after a relaxed schedule in the 2007 finals series.

Eade said it was a different story for his side given they were denied a weekend's respite, so his players were granted a lighter load on the track.

"The fact we've had to play every week, it's more about recovery and getting the bodies right," he said.

"We trained for about 40 minutes yesterday, so I don't think it's a similar situation [to Geelong]."

The Dogs coach said his players were well aware of the task ahead of them, given the Cats were at unbackable odds to clinch back to back premierships.

But he said the group was also aware of upset results that were often produced from finals and remained unconcerned about their perceived inability to win on Friday night.

"We've spoken a little bit about [upsets] but not a lot," he said.

"History can help sell a story or paint a picture, but we're certainly not a group and I'm not a coach that worries about the underdog tag.

"We don't have to do a Steven Bradbury or anything like that. It's more about what we've got control of and the way we go about it, and the guys are looking forward to it."
