WEST Coast has confirmed that powerful utility Quinten Lynch has agreed to a one-year contract.
Lynch was limited to 14 games for the Eagles this year after he was dropped to the WAFL on three occasions.
A member of the club's 2006 premiership side, and its leading goalkicker for two years (2006 and 2007), Lynch has also held midfield roles in recent seasons.
His versatility was most obvious when pinch-hitting in the ruck in the injury-forced absence of Dean Cox in 2009.
However, the 27-year-old's early-2010 demotion saw him linked to new franchise Gold Coast, with West Coast coach John Worsfold maintaining that he had areas of his game he needed to work on.
Lynch, who spent the last two rounds of the season out of the side, took a fortnight to consider a contract offer from the Eagles before advising the club on Tuesday that he would sign on.
Rookie-listed as a developing defender at the end of 2001, Lynch soon became a regular in the seniors and a favourite among fans.
