Full-time position, based at Norwood Football Club
This role presents an exciting opportunity to join the premier State League and governing body for Australian Football in South Australia. The Development Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and implementing junior participation and development programs, coaching programs and affiliated league programs aimed at increasing participation in the game and improving the quality of coaches, administrators and volunteers.
Reporting to the SANFL Development & Participation Manager this position will be based at the Norwood Football Club and will service both metropolitan and Adelaide hills areas within the Norwood zone.
Key focus of this position:
The Coordinator will work with the football community to deliver quality programs aimed at increasing participation and interest in the game of Australian football, by:
• Developing and maintain strong links with key stakeholders, including SANFL and club personnel, school ambassadors and volunteers
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with affiliated leagues and affiliated league clubs personnel
• Promoting and implementing participation programs in schools and junior district clubs
• Promoting and facilitating coach education programs and Australian Football in schools and clubs
• Efficient and timely preparation and delivery of reports and administration duties
The Candidate:
Candidates will be required to demonstrate relevant work experience within a sports administration and development role and strong communication, organisation and computer skills. Level 1 coaching accreditation and tertiary qualifications in sports management or related fields will be highly regarded.
