FORMER Melbourne co-captain Jack Trengove is one of three players to be delisted by Port Adelaide.

Rookies Cam Hewett and Kai Pudney have also not been offered contracts for the 2020 season by the Power.

Midfielder Trengove was given a lifeline by Port Adelaide after leaving Melbourne at the end of 2017, playing three AFL games last year but failing to add to that tally in 2019.

The number two pick in the 2009 NAB AFL Draft, Trengove's career at the Dees was derailed by a serious navicular injury in his foot, leading to his eventual delisting.

The 28-year-old has a career tally of 89 AFL games, having spent this season in the SANFL where he averaged 31 disposals from his 16 matches.

This year was Hewett's fourth on Port Adelaide's rookie list, the midfielder-defender having been delisted and redrafted at the end of last year.

Originally taken with pick 28 in the 2016 NAB AFL Rookie Draft, he didn't make his AFL debut but played 64 SANFL games.

Category B rookie Pudney is a midfielder of Japanese heritage signed through the club's multicultural Next Generation Academy at the end of last year.

He also did not play an AFL game.

"Jack, Cam and Kai have each represented our club with pride and professionalism," Port Adelaide's general manager of football Chris Davies said.

"But we have reached the time of the year when the club needs to make difficult decisions about the future of our playing list.

"Each of the players have been popular and hardworking members of our group and we wish them well for their individual futures."
